PHILLIPS ATTENDS MBA STATE BAND CLINIC

        Recently, Charles Phillips attended the Mississippi Bandmasters Association’s 71st State Band Clinic in Tupelo.  The clinic gathers students and directors from every school district in the state to prepare several concerts of great bands and offer teaching seminars for directors.  Charles was the first student from JZG to attend the clinic in over thirty years!  Not only did he provide a high standard for such a precedence, but he also gained a high honor by winning the Most Outstanding Musician for the Blue Band!  This was quite an accomplishment since he placed lower in the Band than many others.  Congratulations Charles Phillips!  You are our Outstanding Student this Semester!
