At Marshall Elementary School our Motto is “Good, Better, Best, Never Rest Until Your Good Is Better, and Your Better Is Best.” Our main priority at Marshall Elementary is that each child receives a quality education while he or she develops skills, self-esteem, and good social skills. To achieve our goal we have the committed teachers to educate the whole child. Marshall Elementary provides a defined instructional plan with objectives and grade/ subject level reinforcement activities. This is done by teaching the state frameworks, early intervention strategies, enrichment activities, and activities which foster growth in reasoning and thinking skills.
Marshall Elementary School has been a part of the Carrollton, North Carrollton community for over 50 years. We are located at 802 Marshall Road in North Carrollton where there are approximately 360 students in grades K-6. There are 21 certified classroom teachers and 5 resource teachers, which also includes a severe and profound teacher.
We also have an outstanding support staff, which includes a nurse, speech and language pathologist, a sixth grade beginning band music teacher, a librarian, drug education coordinator, school based therapist, physical education instructor, parent liaison, 6 assistants, 2 tutors, a secretary and receptionist, cafeteria staff, and custodians.
We have a Reading garden that was paid for through proceeds from a Lowe’s grant received in 2006. We also have an after school program which is funded through funds from the 21st Century grant.
Compass Learning, Orchard Math, the Twenty-five Book Campaign, Book-of-the-Month, and Accelerated Reader are several of the supplemental curriculum programs we currently have.
